My Song: Somewhere Over the Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World
MY song is "Somewhere over the Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. I chose "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World" as MY song because it has a very important meaning to me. On a rainy day in Oregon, my Grandma was brought home from the hospital, to take her last few breathes. When I was visiting her on that rainy day, my parents decided to start heading home but when we were home we got a frantic call from my Aunt, she had stayed with my grandma, she said something like "Grandma Jane just pasted away." When my Grandma took her last breath she was watching American Idol and at that very moment Katharine McPhee was singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World" That is why "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/ What a Wonderful World" is MY song. Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of her.

Trust me. I know what it's like to have a song that's special to you in that kind of way. If you go to my blog you'll see that it certainly isn't the kind of song that you hear every day on the radio.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very touching song. I like that song, but when it is in your case Grace, it becomes soothing and a little sad.
